family Ministry for Students

Grades 6-12 and their Families

At Highland Oaks, our Student & Family Ministry is built around the discipleship habits of the TABLE. We share meals, build friendships, and learn to
follow Jesus together.
Students are welcomed into the life of the church through worship, service, and relationships with caring mentors. In a close-knit church family, every student is known, valued, and encouraged to use their unique gifts.
Join us as we grow in faith, follow Jesus, and seek to bless our schools, neighborhoods, and communities.

Meet Austin Holt

Family Minister for Students
Meet our Family Minister for Students, Austin Holt. Austin is a full-time firefighter with plenty of life experience and a deep love for teenagers and their families.

Austin is an ACU graduate with a Bachelors in Biblical Text (’11) and a Masters in New Testament (’15). Austin has a passion for inviting students and their families to participate in the story of Scripture through joyful study and community building events. Austin is happy to support your student by coming to their extracurricular events and visiting them during the week. Austin and his wife Amber would love to cook for you and have your family over to their home in Mesquite.

Please let Austin walk alongside your family and disciple your teen as a full participant in our church body at HOCC as we work together to send your student into adulthood, knowing they are loved.
