We believe a core part of following Jesus is learning from Jesus. Jesus started his ministry by calling followers to a particular way of life. Jesus ended his ministry by commissioning these followers to make more followers. So, our "why" is following Jesus or discipleship. And we believe this "why" drives everything we do. Each ministry and every component of the Highland Oaks Church flows through this question: "Is this helping us to love, grow, and send disciples?" Want to know more about our "why?" Discipleship does not happen by accident. Or to put it another way, discipleship is not the same as membership. Disciples of Jesus grow by intentionally pursuing certain practices. This is the "how" of our mission. The T.A.B.L.E. has been set by Jesus and we are ready for you to join us as we are empowered by the Spirit to be loved, grown, and sent.

We strive to be a refuge church. What does this mean? We long to be a safe space for people who are over-churched, under-churched, and annoyed-with-church.
