About Us

Our Philosophy

We are committed to providing a nurturing Christian atmosphere where each child can develop the love of learning while attaining individuality and high self-esteem. Our specialty is social and academic instruction through play with an emphasis on creating an environment where each child is successful and feels important to us and to God.

Our School Year

The Regular School Session runs from September to May, Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. We follow the Richardson School District Calendar for most holidays. For the school year, you may choose Monday/Wednesday, Tuesday/Thursday or Monday through Thursday.

We offer Summer Reading Camp Tuesdays and Thursdays in July.

Our Classes

We offer classes for babies beginning at 6 weeks through Transitional Kindergarten. Children are placed in a class according to their age on or before September 1st, and stay in the same class for the entire school year.

Parent Involvement

Communication between home and school is essential in helping children succeed. Parents are encouraged to actively participate in their child’s learning journey at home and at school. The TK teacher will meet with parents on a regular basis to discuss the child’s progress and ways the parent can support him/her at home. Assessments, along with teacher observations, will be used to monitor each child’s growth and progress throughout the year. The TK teacher will use this information to guide instruction, individualized to meet every child’s needs.

Staff Training

We believe the teachers are the foundation to the success of the center.  Each teacher must maintain 24 clock hours of training per year. The staff is carefully trained and training is scheduled according to areas of needed improvement. In addition, the staff also receives training on child abuse and neglect including warning signs and prevention techniques. The staff is also required to be up-to-date and certified in CPR, First Aid, and Basic Child Growth and Development.
